AWS Expert Architect

About the role

The AWS Expert Architect will act as the security architect for public‑facing applications hosted on AWS. You will set standards for edge security, identity, segmentation, observability, and resilient design while influencing the enterprise cloud strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce security policies, guidelines, and best practices for AWS‑hosted web applications.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps, and development teams to remediate misconfigurations and embed security throughout the SDLC.
• Design and implement Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Cloud‑Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP) and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions.
• Evaluate emerging AWS services and translate them into practical security patterns and governance controls.
• Lead vulnerability management, incident response, and secure coding initiatives.
• Integrate security tooling and automation into DevSecOps pipelines.
• Develop authentication and authorization requirements, including IAM, RBAC and ABAC controls.
• Mentor development teams, foster security champions, and ensure security is considered from project inception.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a security architect or senior security engineer on AWS platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks, governance, and compliance.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive security‑first culture.
