Associate Security Architect

About the role

Join Akamai’s Security Operations Center to detect, mitigate, and respond to the latest cyber attacks protecting world‑leading brands. You will work with industry‑leading technology in a fast‑paced environment, managing real‑time alerts and helping customers stay secure.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks.
• Perform advanced packet analysis to identify attacks and threats to the network.
• Manage and document technical issues, responses, and requests.
• Provide support to customers to resolve network and connectivity issues.
• Communicate with customers about challenges, updates, and mitigation results.

Required profile

• High School or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of how the Internet works, including DNS, HTTP and the suite of IP protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to update internal documentation.
• Passion for learning new tools and technologies and strong problem‑solving ability.
• Knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and how they relate to internet service compromises.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
