About the role

The Preschool Assistant supports the lead teacher in delivering a safe, organized, and bilingual learning environment. The role focuses on helping students acquire academic skills in both English and Spanish while fostering their overall development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing and executing bilingual pedagogical activities.
• Provide individual or group support to students during lessons.
• Reinforce instructions and content in English and Spanish according to classroom needs.
• Support positive behavior management and supervise student conduct.
• Help create, organize, and maintain teaching materials and classroom resources.
• Maintain orderly classroom spaces and resources.
• Record attendance, homework, and communicate basic information with families.
• Participate in school events, projects, and extracurricular activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and school coexistence standards.
• Supervise students during breaks, meals, arrivals, and departures when required.
• Promote hygiene habits, organization, and student autonomy.
• Identify and report academic, emotional, or behavioral concerns.
