AS/400 Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AS/400 Engineer to maintain and evolve mission-critical applications on IBM Power Systems. The role is fully remote and involves ensuring system stability, performance, and business continuity for our global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor IBM Power Systems hardware and virtual environments using HMC and PowerVM.
• Develop and maintain core business logic in RPG within the IBMi (OS/400) ecosystem.
• Administer high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions with PowerHA and Fortra toolsets.
• Perform system upgrades, patch installations, and complex backup/recovery operations.
• Analyze and resolve technical incidents across the stack to maximize uptime.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in IBM Power Systems administration and maintenance.
• Proven expertise in IBMi (OS/400) and RPG development.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• IBM Power Systems hardware management (HMC, PowerVM).
• RPG programming on IBMi (OS/400).
• PowerHA high-availability configuration.
• Fortra toolsets for system administration.
• Backup, recovery and disaster-recovery procedures.
