AR Review Specialist

About the role

The AR Review Specialist ensures that reinstatements, modifications and cancellations of insurance policies are updated accurately and in a timely way in the necessary databases. The role helps determine patients' insurance status and the extent of their benefits, contributing to an efficient billing process for medical providers.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient accounts for accuracy before they are placed with outside collection vendors.
• Receive account change requests, review required changes and update insurance plan changes on customer accounts.
• Research and respond to vendor inquiries, and handle calls, emails, eRequests and correspondence from collection agencies.
• Review correspondence in the CWF system, take appropriate action and document it.
• Review and authorise affidavits related to patient billing, where applicable.
• Ensure vendor inventories reconcile with SSC systems by completing recons and updating I-Plans and/or placements by the end of each month.
• Assist with the Medicaid Eligibility vendor reconciliation and manage vendor onboarding and termination, including support during transitions such as Medicaid Eligibility, Early Out, Primary and Secondary agencies.
• Respond to requests such as payment research, contractual matters, approvals, arrangements and audits.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service or back office positions.
• English-Spanish oral and written at B2+ level or above.
• Genuine interest in working with and helping customers, with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience delivering high customer satisfaction in a high-volume, high-demand environment preferred; healthcare experience is a plus.
• Good presentation, polite, tactful and friendly character.
