API Enterprise Engineer – API Management Platform

About the role

We are looking for an API Enterprise Engineer to own and evolve our global API Management and integration environment. You will design, implement, and maintain the Apigee platform, ensuring high availability, security, and performance for enterprise‑wide API services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Apigee X/Hybrid, including keystores, truststores, and KVMs.
• Maintain SLA, health, and reliability of the API platform infrastructure.
• Design traffic‑control, security policies, throttling, caching, and custom analytics.
• Create custom policies using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, and other languages.
• Standardize CI/CD pipelines for API deployment using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Harness, and Maven.
• Develop and maintain API proxies, REST APIs, and convert SOAP services to REST (or vice‑versa).
• Implement DevOps practices on Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), and Google Cloud.
• Define and enforce development, testing, release, and support processes.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and apply cybersecurity measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, high‑school diploma, or GED.
• Hands‑on experience with Apigee configuration, management, and testing.
• Proven ability to work with API security, traffic management, and analytics.
• Strong background in DevOps tooling and cloud infrastructure.
