Analytical Laboratory Technician I

About the role

The Analytical Laboratory Technician I will work at Abbott’s Coyol Free Zone site within the Structural Heart Division, supporting manufacturing operations by performing routine analytical tests and laboratory support activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute routine tests to monitor chemicals, solutions and raw materials used in manufacturing, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Review test results and related documentation, identifying any errors or inconsistencies.
• Perform laboratory support tasks such as washing glassware, receiving samples, cleaning work areas and equipment, ordering materials, and managing paper documentation.
• Suggest improvements to laboratory documents and maintain 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices in the lab.
• Assist the manufacturing site with low‑impact investigations.

Required profile

• Advanced student or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, laboratory analysis or a related field.
• 0–1 years of experience in a similar laboratory role.
• Ability to follow instructions, work safely and communicate in basic English.
• Availability to work the shift of Monday‑Friday 3:30 pm – 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am – 3:30 pm.
