Analyst, Data Science and Analytics

About the role

Join TransUnion’s Data Science and Analytics team as an Analyst, helping to translate business strategy into scalable, data‑driven solutions. This remote position works closely with product, engineering and business stakeholders to deliver timely analytical outputs that support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Complete well‑defined analytical assignments while building foundational data‑science capabilities.
• Prepare, analyze, and validate data to support business initiatives.
• Apply statistical and analytical techniques to generate actionable insights.
• Develop and improve repeatable analytical processes following coding and data standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand context, provide updates, and align solutions with goals.
• Document findings and present recommendations clearly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or a related quantitative field.
• At least one year of professional experience in data analysis, data science or a related role.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience working in collaborative team environments and communicating progress.

Required skills

• Foundational to intermediate proficiency in statistical methods and data analysis.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language for data analysis (Python or R).
• Proficiency in SQL or a similar data‑querying language.
• Ability to follow coding, documentation and data‑quality standards.
