Agile Remote Operator – AI Robotics

About the role

Join Amazon Robotics as an Agile Remote Operator, where you will directly influence how robotic systems learn and adapt through human‑AI collaboration. Working remotely, you will support the development and testing of autonomous robots by creating high‑quality multi‑modal annotations and performing tele‑planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multi‑modal data annotations (object segmentation, classification, description, detection) for AI model training.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate ambiguous technical requirements into clear annotation standards and SOPs.
• Conduct remote tele‑planning and tele‑operation to support robotics system development and testing.
• Define quality standards and KPIs for annotation projects where procedures are not yet established.
• Validate annotated data using troubleshooting techniques and validation scripts.
• Analyze the impact of ground‑truth data quality on AI model performance metrics.
• Identify process gaps, propose improvements, and implement proactive quality measures.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and recommendations through written reports and presentations.
• Travel to the United States 1‑2 times per year for short on‑site visits.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to design annotation approaches from scratch.
• Experience working with scientists or engineers on AI/robotics projects.
• Proven ability to define SOPs, quality standards, and performance metrics.
• Excellent written communication for reporting to technical stakeholders.
