Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function for a manufacturing/medical‑device site, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month‑end and year‑end closes, and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS. This role partners with the site Controller and global finance teams to drive process improvements and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing accounting team.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close, including accruals, reserves, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and present monthly variance analysis and MD&A.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including free‑trade‑zone and tax audits.
• Maintain cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance reporting.
• Implement and improve ERP (Infor) and reporting tools (OneStream, Power BI).
• Support FP&A activities such as budgeting and forecasting.
• Establish controls for capital assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or Master’s a plus).
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, preferably in a manufacturing or medical‑device environment.
• Proven experience with month‑end, year‑end close and audit coordination.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
