Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Accounting Analyst will own end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report (R2R) activities while supporting financial system implementations and new business launches. The role combines strong accounting expertise with user‑acceptance testing, cross‑functional collaboration and continuous improvement to ensure accurate month‑end close and production readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close tasks: journal entries, sub‑ledger close, account reconciliations, balance‑sheet analysis, amortizations, depreciations and financial reporting.
• Perform P&L and balance‑sheet variance analysis, identify root causes and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Lead the accounting workstream for system implementations and new business launches, coordinating UAT, executing test cases, documenting results and validating data.
• Review accounting records, Chart of Accounts configurations and journal entry flows to ensure accuracy before go‑live.
• Apply accounting principles, internal controls (ICFR) and controllership standards, identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation and knowledge‑sharing materials.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations and Technology teams to resolve issues and drive automation opportunities, including AI tools.
• Track project timelines, risks and deliver progress updates to leadership.
• Support GRC compliance activities and risk control assessments.

Required profile

• Educational background in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in transactional accounting or R2R, including month‑end close and reporting.
• Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to work independently and propose solutions.
• Experience reviewing accounting records and Chart of Accounts configurations before system go‑live.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with financial system implementations or business integration projects (UAT planning, test execution, validation) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Oracle Financial Applications (GL, AP, AR) and BlackLine is a strong advantage.
