Accountant II – Accounts Payable

About the role

The Accountant II – Accounts Payable will join the Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) team, reporting to the S2P Process Delivery Supervisor. You will support AP operations across multiple countries, help migrate processes to Costa Rica, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support migration of S2P processes from the Americas to San Jose, Costa Rica and create process documentation.
• Handle and resolve escalated AP, invoice, and payment issues.
• Answer vendor queries, maintain vendor accounts, and process internal and third‑party invoices.
• Prepare and execute vendor payments, communicate with banks, and manage month‑end close activities including AP accruals and journal entries.
• Produce periodic S2P reports, ensure tax and statutory compliance, and perform Concur and credit‑card audits.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and maintain a robust compliance environment.
• Build relationships with corporate suppliers and support supplier meetings for case resolution.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in a financial shared‑service center supporting multiple countries.
• Experience in diversified industrial products/manufacturing preferred.
• Prior work in S2P, payments, and vendor‑management functions.
• Ability to work in culturally diverse teams and meet deadlines.
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Epicor, QuickBooks, and Syteline.
• Experience using Concur for travel and expense audits.
