Account Executive – In‑Plant (Medical Devices)

About the role

Logitsa is seeking an Account Executive to work on‑site at a medical‑devices client in Cartago, Costa Rica. The role combines customer‑account management with hands‑on coordination of international shipments, customs clearance and free‑trade‑zone logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate Free Trade Zone shipments and prepare customs declarations for transits, exports, imports and local sales.
• Translate import commercial invoices, including incoterms and ETAs, and transmit them to the client.
• Invoice services in SAP Business One and request third‑party payments for warehouse and related fees.
• Prepare status reports (ETD, ETA, transit times) and various performance dashboards.
• Assist customs officials during visits and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
• Maintain clear communication with the client, suppliers and internal teams.
• Support the Operations team during vacations and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Commerce, Customs or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in international trade, customs or freight forwarding.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer‑service abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and handle confidential information.
• Intermediate‑advanced English proficiency (mostly written).

Required skills

• SAP Business One (or similar ERP system).
• Microsoft Office (intermediate‑advanced).
• Experience with CRM software.
