About the role

The Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a strategic, customer‑facing position that supports Veeam’s largest and most complex Enterprise and VCSP accounts. As a trusted technical advisor, you will align Veeam solutions with customer business goals, accelerate data‑management outcomes, and guide customers throughout the lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Build deep understanding of customer priorities, IT strategies, and data‑center environments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert on Veeam solutions.
  • Support issue management, escalations, and resolution in partnership with Support and Engineering.
  • Provide guidance on operational planning, risk mitigation, and deployment strategies.
  • Serve as the primary technical advocate across internal teams (Sales, Support, Engineering, Product).
  • Lead regular cadence calls and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Perform health checks, recommend optimisations and best practices.
  • Partner with Sales to identify new opportunities and drive account growth.
  • Deliver knowledge‑transfer sessions, best practices, and lessons learned.
  • Manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously; travel up to 50% for customer engagements.

Required profile

  • Strong experience in Technical Account Management, Pre‑Sales Engineering, or similar customer‑facing technical roles.
  • Deep knowledge of data protection, data management, and backup solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
  • Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, storage, networking, and cloud architectures.
  • Proven ability to support enterprise customers and manage complex environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, escalation management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
