Senior R&D Manager – Lead Innovation & Product Development

About the role

Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior R&D Manager to lead multiple product lines and drive technical excellence across the portfolio. The role combines strategic leadership, hands‑on technical oversight, and staff development in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own design components of the Design History File for assigned product lines.
• Evaluate, assess, and document design and process changes and their impact on product performance.
• Lead large‑scale technical projects, providing guidance on strategy and approach.
• Develop and protect intellectual property across multiple technologies.
• Mentor and train staff, support career development, and recruit high‑quality talent.
• Plan and monitor department budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with project managers and core team leaders to identify learning opportunities and volunteer initiatives.
• Establish cross‑functional relationships and resolve technical issues collaboratively.

Required profile

• Licenciature or equivalent degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronic, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance engineering.
• Significant managerial experience in R&D, including staff development and budget responsibility.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and drive functional excellence.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross‑functional teams.
