Senior Corporate Counsel – Latin America

About the role

Autodesk is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to support its sales, compliance and regional activities across Latin America. The role can be based in São Paulo, Brazil; Mexico City, Mexico; or San José, Costa Rica, and will focus on channel/partner and public‑sector contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on compliance, channel/partner distribution agreements, sales and public‑sector contracts.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including those with value‑added distributors, VARs and government entities.
• Ensure all activities comply with local laws and regulations affecting sales and public‑sector engagements.
• Monitor regulatory changes, assess business impact, and advise internal teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to develop compliance training and policies.

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited university and full qualification to practice law.
• Minimum 8 years of combined law‑firm and in‑house experience, preferably with a global technology company.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, handle pressure and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese.

Required skills

• Experience with channel/partner operations (VADs, VARs, distribution agreements).
• Knowledge of public‑sector procurement and government sales.
• Familiarity with IP, technology licensing, antitrust, privacy and data‑security compliance.
