Secondary Integrated Science Teacher

About the role

The Secondary Integrated Science Teacher will design and deliver engaging, hands‑on science learning experiences aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The role emphasizes inquiry, real‑world problem solving, and authentic application of scientific concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach secondary science lessons that are inquiry‑based and standards‑driven.
• Collaborate with department, grade‑level, and house teams to ensure coherent instruction.
• Create inclusive learning environments and differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Integrate appropriate technology to enhance student learning.
• Develop and implement formative and summative assessments that reflect student thinking and growth.
• Monitor and document student progress, communicating regularly with families.
• Engage in continuous professional learning and contribute to a collaborative school culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with a valid teaching certificate/license in the content area.
• At least two years of secondary teaching experience (upper‑high‑school experience is an asset).
• Advanced Placement experience is a plus.
• Excellent command of English; native speaker preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with K‑12 U.S. curriculum, Common Core State Standards, and NGSS.
• Ability to provide up‑to‑date criminal background checks from country of origin and current residence.
