Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Triz Engineering Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its engineering team in San Jose, Costa Rica. The role involves developing and managing mechanical designs for commercial vehicle projects, collaborating with global suppliers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate task scope and prepare detailed bills of materials and 3D assemblies.
• Create 3D parts and 2D drawings that meet supplier and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers and customers on design specifications.
• Conduct concept and design reviews and support day‑to‑day customer activities.
• Provide cost‑effective, technically feasible solutions for service issues and product improvements.
• Interface with materials, purchasing, analysis, test, manufacturing, and compliance teams to optimize designs.

Required profile

• BEng or BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel overseas (USA) for variable periods.
• High EQ, self‑starter attitude, and attention to detail.
