Lead Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to join the Engineering Platform Team of a global automotive services leader. The role combines hands‑on development with technical leadership to build scalable developer platforms, automate cloud infrastructure, and embed AI‑assisted practices across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable GitHub Actions for the organization.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring reliability and security.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and release automation to boost developer productivity.
• Drive DevSecOps initiatives, covering security, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Establish AI development standards leveraging Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
• Mentor engineers through architecture guidance, design discussions, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Scrum Master on planning and delivery.
• Participate in production support and continuous platform improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering.
• Proven technical leadership with at least 1 year of mentoring and ownership responsibilities.
• Strong written communication skills in English (B2+ level).
• Experience operating production services and handling incident response.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Deep expertise in AWS and Terraform.
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Linux administration.
• DevSecOps tooling such as SonarQube, CodeQL, and Veracode.
• Incident management with PagerDuty.
• Daily use of Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot, including prompt engineering and LLM fundamentals.
