General Ledger Accountant (Junior)

About the role

The Junior General Ledger Accountant supports daily accounting operations within a Shared Services Center, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions across multiple entities. The role contributes to journal entries, reconciliations, month‑end close, accounts payable, reporting, treasury support and audit preparation while maintaining strong compliance and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile financial transactions across multiple entities.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, including bank, intercompany and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with cash management, financial reporting, forecasting and audit preparation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Manage accounts payable activities: invoice processing, three‑way matching, vendor payments, AP aging and expense reports.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain vendor records and documentation.
• Support fixed‑asset processes in SAP: capitalization, depreciation, asset tagging, write‑offs and physical counts.
• Provide backup for accounts receivable: invoicing, cash application and collections follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in English.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical and organized.

Required skills

• ERP system experience, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
