About the role
This internship is based onsite at HPE's Heredia office and offers hands‑on experience developing embedded software for networking and edge devices.
Key responsibilities
- Support senior engineers in developing, testing, and debugging embedded software components.
- Assist in maintaining Linux‑based software stacks, drivers, middleware and applications.
- Contribute to AI‑driven initiatives, such as integrating AI models and exploring automation tools.
- Participate in code reviews, stand‑ups and design discussions.
- Research and prototype new methodologies, tools or frameworks related to embedded software and AI.
Required profile
- Student pursuing a technical degree (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.).
- Familiarity with embedded systems programming in C/C++ and scripting in Python.
- Strong academic background in software development and design.
- Interest in AI‑driven development for embedded platforms.
Required skills

- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
