Electromechanical Technician III

About the role

The Electromechanical Technician III is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex computer‑controlled systems in an industrial environment. The role involves designing, implementing and modifying logic controller programs while ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program and modify PLC logic controllers as required.
• Assist in the design and installation of new or upgraded equipment, including conduit, wiring, power distribution, machine controls, automation, motors, counters, lighting and heat tracing.
• Perform complex troubleshooting of machinery and automation failures, covering motor control devices, input sensing devices and other output devices.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve plant asset reliability.
• Inspect and conduct maintenance on packaging, processing, storage equipment, plant utilities and other mechanical and electrical systems.

Required profile

• Experience performing maintenance and reliability tasks on industrial assets.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex program and equipment issues with minimal supervision.
• Capability to assist and guide other technicians as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and extending equipment life.
