About the role

The DevOps Automation Engineer will design, implement and optimise monitoring and automation solutions on the AWS platform, working closely with development, operations and security teams to ensure platform availability, reliability, scalability and security.

Key responsibilities

Design and implement scalable monitoring and automation solutions on AWS.
Continuously improve the DevOps platform through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to engineering teams.
Administer Jira and Confluence environments, customise workflows, dashboards and reports.

Required profile

10‑12 years of overall IT experience with at least 4 years of hands‑on Kubernetes and containerisation.
Strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
Leadership mindset with mentoring capabilities and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Required skills

AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Route53, ELB/NLB, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, Auto Scaling, CLI, CloudFormation).
Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Kops).
Monitoring & observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Fluentd).
CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Kibana).
Scripting languages (Groovy, Python, Ruby, Go).
Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform) and configuration management (Ansible).
Jira & Confluence administration.
