Data Scientist – Associate Manager

About the role

Lead a small data‑science team and own client‑facing delivery across multiple workstreams, staying hands‑on with complex modelling, experimentation, validation, production deployment and model‑governance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of data scientists, handling work assignment, coaching, performance management and professional development.
• Translate client business needs into data‑science use cases, analytical approaches, delivery roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
• Design, build and review production‑grade machine‑learning and statistical models using Python and SQL.
• Oversee model deployment, monitoring, drift detection, retraining and performance reporting, applying responsible‑AI controls.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of applied data‑science experience, including leadership of technical teams.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on expertise with Python, advanced SQL and cloud ML platforms (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI).
• Experience with MLOps practices, model‑governance, validation, explainability, fairness and responsible‑AI.
