Controller III – Trade Compliance & Audit

About the role

The Controller III will support TE’s Controllership team in the United States, focusing on trade compliance reconciliation, audit support and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Controlling Manager II, the role combines analytical accounting tasks with cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Legal Global Trade Compliance team by performing trade compliance reconciliations for U.S. legal entities, including Maquila locations.
• Gather required information from business units using data‑mining tools such as Alteryx for the reconciliation process.
• Calculate monthly tariff accruals and allocate entries to business units.
• Compile inter‑company audit confirmation data requests for external auditors and obtain sign‑off from the LE Controller.
• Support the annual unclaimed property process for aged uncashed checks (payroll, vendor payables, customer refunds) for U.S. legal entities in PR2, PRM and PH1.
• Participate in various general‑ledger related projects as assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of relevant accounting experience with a strong finance background.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve problems.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Alteryx or similar data‑mining tools.
• Knowledge of trade compliance, tariff accruals, inter‑company audit processes, and unclaimed property procedures.
