Accounts Payable Officer – Payment Services

About the role

Join Newmont’s Service Enablement Group as an Accounts Payable Officer supporting Payment Services. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of AP transactions and travel & expense claims across the global business.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions and T&E claims following established procedures.
• Review uninvoiced receipts and unreceipted invoices, coordinating with requestors and sourcing teams.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and prevent duplicate payments.
• Support payment run activities, including validation checks and adherence to payment controls.
• Assist with month‑end close activities, AP reporting and reconciliation support.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Document records for audit and reporting, and follow service‑standard workflows.
• Handle basic payment and expense inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed.

Required profile

• Technical qualification or degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant accounts payable experience.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Foundational knowledge of AP processes, payment cycles and SOX controls.
• Basic experience with SAP (MM/AP) and expense tools such as Concur.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes.
