Senior Interior Designer - Workplace

About the role

Nelson is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join its Workplace Practice. You will shape innovative work environments for leading global companies, guiding projects from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project planning, client services, and program development.
• Develop conceptual designs, schematic design, and design development packages.
• Produce construction documents, furniture specifications, and detailed drawings.
• Present design ideas to clients and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure projects meet sustainability goals, LEED guidelines, and code requirements.

Required profile

• Advanced programming and space‑planning expertise.
• Deep knowledge of design trends, construction methods, materials, and FF&E.
• Proficiency in producing precise technical plans, blueprints, and 3‑D models.
• Understanding of sustainability, integrated design, LEED, building codes, life‑safety, and ADA standards.
• Strong teamwork, organization, deadline management, and client‑service orientation.
• Creative talent in conceptual design and rendering (hand drafting or computer sketching).
