Record to Report Senior Specialist (North America)

About the role

The Record to Report Senior Specialist is responsible for executing and overseeing complex accounting activities across the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, compliance with US GAAP, and timely delivery of financial information for assigned entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post high‑impact journal entries and complex accruals.
• Review monthly and quarterly balance‑sheet reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform detailed account analysis, explain variances to stakeholders and business partners.
• Maintain SLA compliance, identify risks and propose mitigation actions.
• Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for assigned entities, providing guidance on treatment and issue resolution.
• Support knowledge‑transfer initiatives and contribute to process documentation and standardisation.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement and automation opportunities across R2R processes.
• Assist internal and external audit teams, ensuring readiness and timely response.
• Participate in financial closing and reporting activities, delivering high‑quality results.
• Develop analyses and insights to support finance and business stakeholders.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• 5+ years of progressive general‑accounting experience, preferably in multinational or Big 4 environments.
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and accounting processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, automation).
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Experience driving continuous‑improvement or process‑optimization initiatives.
• Strong communication skills in English (minimum B2 level).
