Production Supervisor I

About the role

The Production Supervisor I will lead production teams at Abbott's Coyol Free Zone facility, ensuring safety, quality, and volume targets are met for the Vascular Business. This role combines people management, regulatory compliance, and continuous‑improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise production teams, handling scheduling, discipline, coaching, selection and training of staff.
• Support compliance routines to meet FDA, TUV and other regulatory requirements.
• Report quality issues immediately and participate in investigations and corrective actions.
• Execute plans to achieve productivity, schedule adherence, quality, cost and service goals while maintaining a safe environment.
• Own the assigned production area, monitoring efficiency and compliance through leading‑indicator metrics.
• Prepare daily production reports, coordinate shift hand‑overs and lead daily meetings to discuss progress and issues.
• Interpret production metrics and ensure processes follow standard procedures.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to increase quality, reduce cost and boost team productivity.

Required profile

• At least 80% completion of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related technical field.
• 0‑2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in medical‑device, pharmaceutical or electronics manufacturing.
• Proficiency with manufacturing data systems such as SAP, SFA or Kronos.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems (e.g., FDA, MDD).
• Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Black Belt, lean coach).
• Flexibility to work different shifts and areas.
• Ability to lead and influence peers toward organizational goals.
• Basic command of English.
