Director of Rooms

About the role

The Director of Rooms will lead the Rooms Division at Andaz Papagayo, ensuring operations align with Hyatt International’s corporate strategies, brand standards, and the expectations of employees, guests, and owners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of the Rooms Division, including front desk, housekeeping, and guest services.
• Maintain brand standards and hotel-specific procedures to deliver consistent guest experiences.
• Collaborate with other department heads to achieve overall hotel performance goals.
• Manage budgets, staffing levels, and performance metrics for the division.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior rooms management role, such as Assistant Director of Rooms or Director of Rooms.
• Strong problem‑solving, administrative, and interpersonal abilities.
