Buyer – Procurement & Sourcing Specialist

About the role

In this role you will lead competitive sourcing events, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, develop purchase orders and contracts, and ensure compliance with Emerson’s procurement policies and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead RFQs, bid analysis and supplier selection for projects and operational needs.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery conditions and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Manage the full procure‑to‑pay lifecycle from requisition to purchase order closure, including order tracking and invoice discrepancy resolution.
• Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems and generate spend and performance reports.
• Coordinate logistics, delivery updates and inspection processes with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• You take initiative on new challenges without unnecessary planning and set clear milestones.
• You continuously look for process improvements, from small tweaks to full re‑engineering.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or JDE.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with procurement or source‑to‑pay tools.
• Ability to use reporting or data‑visualisation tools.
• Advanced English communication skills.
