Physics & Python Expert – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a Physics & Python expert to design and implement computational physics challenges for a cutting‑edge AI model. This is a project‑based freelance position, fully remote, focused on creating tasks that require specialized simulation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design computational physics problems that can only be solved with a specific tool (e.g., FEniCS, OpenFOAM, Meep, REBOUND, CAMB).
• Write a Python reference solution, provide input files and define domain or initial conditions.
• Determine the numerical answer and acceptable tolerance for model evaluation.
• Test and calibrate the problem against the AI model in parallel runs, aiming for a 10‑30% success rate.
• Iterate on problem difficulty based on model performance and submit the final task for senior review.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field.
• At least 2 years of research, applied, or teaching experience.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Fluency with, or willingness to quickly learn, at least one scriptable physics package (e.g., FEniCS, OpenFOAM, Meep, etc.).
• Ability to design problems that genuinely require a specialized simulation tool.
• Excellent written English (C1+).
