IT Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process for our technology needs in San Jose, Costa Rica. The role ensures purchase orders are created accurately in SAP, tracks deliveries, and supports cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining compliance with internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requests and generate purchase orders in SAP, verifying prices, quantities, vendors and cost centres.
• Monitor order status, follow up with suppliers, and resolve delivery issues to guarantee timely receipt of hardware, software and related services.
• Maintain and regularly update the IT purchasing catalogue, standardising items and vendor information.
• Identify, evaluate and qualify vendors across multiple countries, request quotations and compare offers.
• Support basic price negotiations and propose cost‑optimisation alternatives.
• Document all procurement activities, invoices and approvals in accordance with company policies.
• Assist the IT team with asset registration, equipment allocation and inventory tracking.

Required profile

• Vocational training or degree in Administration, Business or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or administrative roles, preferably with SAP.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to follow established processes.
• Basic understanding of IT hardware and software products.

Required skills

• SAP (mandatory for creating purchase orders).
• Microsoft Excel and standard office tools.
