Global Indirect Tax Specialist – COE

About the role

Join the Global Business Services (GBS) team as a Global Indirect Tax Specialist within the Tax Center of Excellence. You will lead tax determination initiatives for North America invoice processes, ensuring compliance and driving automation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve tax determination issues in SAP ECC and S/4 environments, keeping pace with federal, state, provincial and local tax law changes.
• Consult on new and existing business scenarios, providing expert support on content, ERP and process‑related inquiries.
• Maintain and update tax determination tables in ECC and S/4 to reflect regulatory updates and business needs.
• Design tax determination scenarios for North America, mapping tax codes to appropriate reporting boxes.
• Translate business requirements into tax configuration changes for outgoing invoices.
• Lead projects on new business models and global process implementations in indirect tax.
• Identify and champion process‑improvement initiatives using automation and data analytics.
• Coordinate special tax issues with advisors and ensure compliance with global governance.
• Develop and deliver training programs for new systems and process changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, BS or MBA in Accounting or Tax.
• At least 4 years of experience in tax compliance/accounting with strong process and system knowledge.
• Solid understanding of North America indirect tax processes and compliance requirements.
