AI Engineer – Remote

About the role

Lumenalta is looking for experienced AI Engineers to join a high‑growth fintech client focused on back‑office workflow automation. This future‑opportunity role will involve designing, building, and deploying production‑grade AI systems for community banks, mortgage, and insurance institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI models into production environments.
• Create and maintain backend Python services that power intelligent automation workflows.
• Implement enterprise‑scale data pipelines for ingesting and processing financial and regulatory documents, including automated data quality checks.
• Train and optimize models on banking rules, compliance standards, and regulatory datasets.
• Build intelligent routing systems for auto‑approval of simple cases and escalation of complex cases.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to shape architecture, delivery models, and technology stack decisions.
• Embed compliance‑first design principles into every product feature.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of AI/ML engineering experience with a proven track record of deploying models at scale.
• Experience in regulated industries such as financial services or insurance.
• Ability to work in a lean, high‑performing team and influence technical direction.
• Comfortable in fast‑moving, startup‑like environments with evolving tech stacks.
