Lead Sourcing Services Manager

About the role

Newmont is seeking a Lead Sourcing Services professional to drive efficiency and quality across its global sourcing operations. Based in the Global Delivery Center in Costa Rica, you will shape sourcing standards, guide supplier decisions, and support a sustainable, cost‑effective supply chain for a leading gold producer.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor sourcing performance metrics and standards.
• Provide insights for supplier selection, risk evaluation, and relationship management.
• Deliver sourcing solutions and cost analyses to inform strategic decisions.
• Track supplier performance in quality, reliability, sustainability, and delivery.
• Implement digital tools and workflow enhancements, and oversee governance, audits, and data‑quality initiatives.
• Train and coach team members and business users on sourcing processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience and at least 2 years in a people‑leadership role.
• Strong understanding of bidding processes (RFPs), contract management, supplier management, P2P, and overall supply‑chain processes.
• Proven ability to improve operations through data‑driven decision‑making.
• Excellent collaboration, negotiation, coaching, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Experience using Ariba procurement platform.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
