Técnico de Mantenimiento BOP 3

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician (BOP 3) to lead, supervise and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities on electrical sub‑stations, transmission lines, turbines and plant facilities. The role ensures reliable operation, safety and availability of equipment in accordance with manuals, safety standards and allocated resources.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise and perform maintenance on sub‑stations, transmission lines, turbines and plant installations safely.
• Interrogate protection relays, meters and other electrical components to retrieve maneuver data, historical events and system quality, and generate event reports.
• Inspect subcontractor work on sub‑stations, physical plant installations, wind turbines and transmission lines to guarantee quality and prevent failures.
• Analyze and report faults in physical installations, transmission lines, sub‑stations, 34.5 kV cells and turbine transformers, providing relevant information for strategic decision‑making.
• Identify training needs of junior personnel, develop and deliver technical training to close competency gaps.
• Contribute to the development and optimisation of maintenance plans to improve resource utilisation.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical, Electronics or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in high‑voltage sub‑station (230 kV and 34.5 kV) maintenance and assembly.
• Knowledge of electrical protection systems, transmission lines and event analysis.
• Previous experience in the electric sector or related industries.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Residence in Liberia or nearby areas.
• Valid B1 driving licence.
