Staff Web Designer

About the role

Acquia is looking for a senior‑level web designer to shape the next generation of its flagship B2B site, Acquia.com. This role blends craft‑led design, system thinking, and AI‑focused experimentation to deliver bold, playful, and confident digital experiences for an AI‑first audience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and raise the visual and experiential standards for Acquia.com, translating brand and product positioning into compelling web experiences.
• Co‑own and evolve a modern, component‑based design system built on Tailwind, React, and Drupal, documenting components, patterns, and tokens.
• Lead AI‑era design work, establishing guidelines for AI‑generated surfaces, personalized hero treatments, and dynamic copy while maintaining quality and accessibility.
• Drive adoption of AI‑assisted design tools (Figma AI, Cursor, Claude, Lovable, etc.) across the team.
• Design and ship pages end‑to‑end, moving concepts from sketch to live implementation without lengthy handoff cycles.
• Collaborate closely with Brand & Creative, Marketing, and Development teams to ensure consistency and usability.
