Software Engineer Intern

About the role

The Software Engineer Intern will support the development of new and existing features across TradeStation's internal systems. You will collaborate with the team to deliver high‑quality software, participate in design and testing, and apply modern frameworks and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist ongoing efforts to maintain the health of our services.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and prototyping sessions.
• Support maintenance and enhancements of internal systems.
• Help increase test automation coverage across the codebase.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a results‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to share knowledge and learn from others.

Required skills

• Experience with C# programming.
• Familiarity with SQL databases.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure on providers like AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of full‑stack monitoring concepts and related tooling.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
