Remote Care Specialist I

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Remote Care Specialist I to work in its Cardiac Rhythm Technologies division. Based in Alajuela, the role involves providing technical support and handling product inquiries for Abbott’s remote care solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Answer technical inquiries, complaints, and adverse event reports, documenting detailed information from callers.
• Prepare and forward Field Contact Reports (FCRs) to the Product Performance Group.
• Triage calls using approved troubleshooting procedures and seek guidance when needed.
• Support website navigation, mobile device setup, and telecommunication connectivity for Abbott‑proprietary remote care products.
• Participate in rotating after‑hours on‑call support, following established protocols.
• Maintain departmental performance standards and communicate case status and escalations to supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, product support, IT, telecommunications, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Office‑based work environment.
