Project Manager (Aviation Manufacturing)

About the role

Joby is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development and certification of its vertical‑takeoff air‑taxi. You will be responsible for controlling budgets, schedules, and overall project performance while ensuring clear communication with customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Follow approved Project Management SOPs and standards.
• Measure, control, and report project performance.
• Maintain regular customer communication, providing status updates and identifying new project opportunities.
• Report project status to the PMO Manager and manage the customer relationship to achieve project goals.
• Participate in cost estimation and provide performance evaluations for team members.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• Knowledge of computer architectures, embedded systems, and avionics.
• Familiarity with DO‑178C and DO‑254 standards.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project; experience with both traditional and agile lifecycles.
• Strong command of English (B2 level, with C1 preferred).
