Project Engineer – Medical Devices (Fixed‑Term until Sep 2027)

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Project Engineer to lead implementation projects for marketed product support, supplier changes, and short‑term initiatives that prevent shortages in the medical devices division. The role works within interdisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage MPS, AOS, and short‑term implementation projects, coordinating geographic introductions, line extensions, and process transfers.
• Develop and control project schedules and budgets, interacting with local and global functional teams.
• Allocate resources, lead design‑control documentation, and oversee equipment and process validation activities.
• Execute changes to drawings, procedures, SAP settings, DCCs, and FSFA documentation.
• Engage with national and international suppliers to secure required materials and services.
• Monitor key performance indicators, communicate progress, and ensure proper closure of deviations.
• Support assigned personnel, providing guidance and tracking performance against objectives.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Industrial, Chemical, Materials or related field); postgraduate or project‑management certification is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical‑device industry.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on project execution experience.
• English proficiency at B2+ level (oral and written).
