Production Supervisor – Medical Device Manufacturing

About the role

Freudenberg Medical is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a cell‑based manufacturing team in Alajuela. You will ensure smooth daily operations, maintain product quality, and support continuous improvement in a regulated medical‑device environment.

Key responsibilities

• Train cell operators and team leaders, maintain standard work and update training charts.
• Manage daily production schedules, shop orders and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Communicate equipment downtime and ensure timely resolution.
• Enforce all quality, safety and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO 13485, GMPS, GDPs).
• Collaborate with HSE and OPEX teams to drive safety and operational excellence.
• Standardize production areas and oversee product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in medical‑device manufacturing.
• Proven ability to analyze and present production metrics.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B2+).
• Experience with internal and external quality audits.
• Strong leadership, flexibility and ability to meet tight deadlines.
