PHP Engineer (with React)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced PHP Engineer to design, develop, and scale complex web applications. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who can work independently, quickly absorb system knowledge, and bring structure to a minimally documented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise scalable PHP‑based applications and services.
• Participate in knowledge‑transfer sessions and rapidly understand existing system architecture.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, designers, and stakeholders to define features and overall architecture.
• Integrate external APIs and manage efficient database interactions.
• Support QA by establishing Python‑based smoke and automation testing.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
• Continuously improve application performance, responsiveness, and security.

Required profile

• Proven experience with PHP using frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Strong grasp of object‑oriented programming and design patterns.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance and proactively manage deliverables.
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with modern web practices (REST, GraphQL, micro‑services).
• Competence in debugging and test automation.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
