Material Operations Planner – Temporary

About the role

This temporary position supports Coca‑Cola’s most advanced manufacturing facility in Liberia, Costa Rica. You will collect, analyse, and report data to provide key supply‑chain insights for ingredients, while handling procurement and supplier‑relationship tasks for minor suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with supply‑chain management, planners, and buyers; attend operational meetings.
• Investigate materials at risk and alert buyers and plant leadership.
• Participate in packaging optimisation and ingredient‑defect problem‑solving initiatives.
• Coordinate with QA and production teams; maintain internal reporting.
• Follow up on hard‑allocation and material‑to‑material conversion requests.
• Attend supply‑risk and supplier‑change meetings; support cost‑savings projects.
• Execute supplier‑relationship and internal meetings to improve production service.
• Manage plant reporting: purchase orders, ingredient availability, invoicing, component stock.
• Ensure supplier compliance with audits, legal documents (MSA, NDAs, insurance certificates) and update pricing and supplier data in databases.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in English (written, spoken, reading).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• Proven purchasing experience with strong critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage complex internal and external relationships.
