Lead Product Architect (Remote, Costa Rica)

About the role

Coforge is seeking a Lead Product Architect to drive the design and evolution of high‑performance, secure SaaS products in the healthcare domain. This remote position is based in Costa Rica and requires deep expertise in cloud‑native architectures, modern web stacks, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture of scalable SaaS solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and HIPAA compliance.
• Design cloud‑native systems on AWS using serverless services and Infrastructure as Code.
• Establish domain models, technical standards, and API contracts (REST, FHIR) across multiple product releases.
• Mentor engineering teams, guide architectural decisions, and promote AI‑enabled development practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver secure, healthcare‑focused solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering, solution architecture, or SaaS product architecture experience.
• Proven track record leading SaaS product architecture in production environments.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, and regulated SaaS compliance frameworks.
