About the role
The Key Account Manager will act as the primary liaison with pet‑specialty distributors in Costa Rica, ensuring the successful implementation of Hill’s “6Ps” at the store level. This role focuses on building strategic partnerships, driving sales growth and increasing market share for the Hill’s brand.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with pet‑specialty distributors to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
- Identify and integrate new veterinary clinics and hospitals into distribution routes, executing promotional plans and tactical activities.
- Coach and train veterinary professionals and internal sales representatives on commercial best practices and route planning.
- Monitor sell‑out data, analyse performance of top accounts, and ensure compliance with business plans.
- Secure shelf space, visibility and “Perfect Store” standards, and accelerate new product introductions.
- Manage the “Vets con Hills” subscription program, aiming for high adoption rates, and represent the brand at trade shows and conferences.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a commercial role and at least 5 years of field sales experience.
- Intermediate to advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work with distributors and manage key accounts.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
