Injection Molding Field Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Field Service Technician to support our growing medical equipment market in Costa Rica. The role involves traveling daily to customer sites within a 100‑150 mile radius, providing on‑site technical assistance, diagnostics, and maintenance for injection molding equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to service calls promptly, adhering to timelines set by the Service Coordinator.
• Prepare for each assignment by verifying service type and gathering required tools and equipment.
• Perform accurate diagnosis, document service reports, and communicate progress to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and return shared tools in good condition, reporting any damage.
• Recommend spare‑part replacements and promote service hours to extend equipment life.
• Provide commercial feedback to sales teams and support cross‑territory coordination.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience troubleshooting and maintaining injection molding machines.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
• Active passport and willingness to travel to nearby countries (e.g., Guatemala, Colombia).

Required skills

• Injection molding troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Interpretation of electrical diagrams.
• Interpretation of hydraulic diagrams.
• Electronics and electricity knowledge.
• Use of measurement tools.
• Familiarity with Field Service Lightning (Salesforce) notifications.
