Backend Developer – Design and Build Scalable Server‑Side Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain the server‑side logic of our applications. You will ensure high performance, scalability, and security while collaborating with front‑end teams and third‑party providers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases.
• Build scalable systems capable of handling high request volumes and large data sets.
• Implement security and data‑protection best practices.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers and stakeholders to integrate user‑facing components.
• Manage database schemas, queries, and migrations using SQL and/or NoSQL technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews, system architecture discussions, and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language and framework (e.g., Node.js/Express, Python/Django/Flask/FastAPI, Java/Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails).
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of system design, scalability, and security principles.
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
