AWS Platform Engineer

About the role

We are building a cloud‑native platform that empowers teams to develop, ship, and operate secure, scalable software. As an AWS Platform Engineer you will create "Golden Paths" that simplify developers' workflows while ensuring technical excellence and strong developer empathy.

Key responsibilities

• Drive cross‑team platform initiatives, alignment and migration plans across engineering.
• Design and evolve self‑service capabilities (templates, libraries, sample apps) that reduce cognitive load.
• Mentor engineers and set high‑bar standards for platform codebases using SOLID, DDD and other best practices.
• Treat the platform as a product: manage roadmap, gather feedback, improve documentation and UX.
• Refine organization‑wide observability (metrics, logs, traces) and provide clear guidance.
• Advance AI platform services, governance patterns and AI‑enabled tooling.
• Collaborate on GitOps, CI/CD, secrets management and deployment standards.
• Partner with Security and Cloud Infrastructure to ensure resilient, secure platform patterns.
• Shape reliability strategy, SLO/SLI definitions and incident response processes.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or related STEM field preferred.
• Strong curiosity and continuous‑learning mindset.
• Excellent programming ability, especially in Python.
• Experience building internal platforms, shared services or developer tooling.
• Passion for CI/CD, repeatable and reliable code delivery.
